Antique Colt Single Action Army revolver with pearl grips, holster rig and factory letter. 45 Long Colt, 5 1/82" barrel, nickel finish, Serial #83742. The included factory letter lists this revolver in .45 caliber with blue finish, rubber stocks, and barrel not listed (indicating the standard 7 1/2" configuration) when the revolver was shipped to Wexell and Degress of New York, NY, on October 10, 1882, as one of fifty in this configuration. The revolver was subsequently nickel plated and fitted with pearl grips, likely by Wexel and Degress. Matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and back strap. Fine condition, with much of the finish, some flaking, some oxidation/pitting, and a few chips in the grips. Mechanically functions.
