Hohokam Axe

Developed, unridged, 3/4 groove axe. The groove ridges have disappeared except for a faint trace on the outer edge, probably left from shaping the bit. X/Y - the edges are gently convex from poll to bit and form a narrow, slightly curved bit. The head is round. A/B - the groove is well formed, pecking shows all over and polishing is light. The overall shape is less rectangular than earlier types and the edges are rounded. The blades taper symmetrical to form the bit. This item is guaranteed to be of the time period and condition as described, has been exported legally and is legal to buy and sell under all international laws relating to cultural patrimony.

PERIOD: Late Antiquity

ORIGIN: Southwest - Unknown, Native American

SIZE: 17.5 x 7.5 x 6.4cm
