29 Star American (Iowa) parade flag with double medallion pattern. Circa 1847-1848. Flag 5 3/4" x 9" printed on gauze. The 29 star flag became the official US flag in 1847 with the addition of Iowa on 28 December 1846. Served for a little over one year when Wisconsin became a state on 29 May 1848. A hard to come by piece. Framed 12" x 16".
