Kirtland K. Cutter massive arts and craft andirons with octagonal, tapered shaft. Pair. 35"H x 19"W x 26"Deep. These were designed by Kirtland Cutter for the Patsy Clark Mansion in the 1880s. Cutter rose to fame in 1893 at the Chicago World's Fair where he was the architect of the Idaho building that was hailed as the precursor of the arts & craft movement. He also designed the Ranier Club in Seattle and the Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park.
