Navajo Fox Turquoise and Sterling Box
Navajo sterling silver and Fox Mine turquoise box. This box has an amazing finish and styling that resembles the Navajo stamp work of the early 1900’s. On the top is a nice size, polished cabochon of Stormy Mountain turquoise, showing a blue-green coloring with black host matrix, bezel set into the silver. The top of the box has a nice, curved finish with heavy stamping and is hinged, revealing a patinated silver inside. The outside of the box has a similar heavy stamped finish to match the extended lid and is finished by four triangular feet. The piece has a heavy construction for its size and is crafted of sterling silver. 3” x 2” x 1 ¾” Closed, 180.2 grams
