Sioux horse figural effigy pipe bowl from the Sioux Native American Indians. The piece is hand carved of catlinite pipestone with a rich red to speckled pink coloring. The pipe shows a square stem connection body with a horse saddle "U" at the center and horse profile figural pipe bowl. Both sides of the pipe are beautifully etched with a zig-zag and horsehair pattern. The stem connection has a few small chips and the pipe has a nice patina from is early circa 1890 age. The pipe has no major damage or cracks while measuring 7 5/8" L by 3"H by 1"D. Museum collection number E1082
