(1885-1981). Oil on canvas; 14" x 21", dated '14. Strayer painted murals for Marshall Field in Chicago, and became a book illustrator, working for Houghton Mifflin Doubleday. He also did western covers for The Street Smith magazine, Zane Gray and The Country Gentleman Magazine. Came from Strayerโ€™s estate auction. Well framed.
